Product Description

Mi-Wave’s 955 Series microwave and millimeter-wave W-band low noise amplifiers are designed for ultra-high-frequency receiver systems where wideband coverage, controlled gain, and stable operation are required. These LNAs support laboratory, fielded, and production environments for advanced mmWave communications, sensing, and test applications.

A representative model in the series is the 955WF-20/11.5/387H W-band Low Noise Amplifier, operating over a 75 GHz to 110 GHz frequency range (W-band). The amplifier provides 25 dB nominal small-signal gain across the band, with a specified gain flatness of ±6 dB, supporting broadband W-band signal coverage. While the noise figure is specified at 12 dB typical, measured performance shows approximately 5 dB typical noise figure over the operating band, making it suitable for receiver applications where wide bandwidth and stable gain are prioritized. The amplifier delivers +11.5 dBm typical saturated output power across the band.

As a W-band receive-chain component, this low noise amplifier contributes to system signal conditioning and level stability rather than ultra-low-noise optimization. The 955WF-20/11.5/387H does not require an external heatsink, simplifying mechanical integration into compact W-band assemblies. Reliable operation is ensured when the amplifier case temperature is maintained at or below +60 °C
