Micrometer Type Variable Waveguide Attenuators (Series 523)

Mi-Wave’s 523 Series Micrometer Type Variable Waveguide Attenuators are compact, precision attenuating devices designed for accurate manual signal control across standard waveguide sizes from 18.0 to 220 GHz. Engineered for microwave and millimeter-wave applications, these calibrated attenuators provide dependable attenuation adjustment for laboratory, instrumentation, and test environments where stable manual control and repeatable measurement performance are required.

The 523 Series uses a micrometer-driven adjustment mechanism to provide fine attenuation control with high resolution and excellent mechanical stability. Each attenuator is calibrated at the frequency specified at the time of order, allowing the unit to support more precise attenuation reference at the intended operating frequency. This makes the series especially useful in applications where accurate level setting and repeatable manual adjustment are important.

Designed with a differential screw drive and anti-backlash operation, the 523 Series delivers smooth, controlled movement with minimal mechanical play.
