Product Description

Mi-Wave’s 955 Series microwave and millimeter-wave W-band low noise amplifiers are engineered for ultra-high-frequency receiver systems where low noise figure, stable gain, and repeatable performance are critical. These LNAs are designed for laboratory, fielded, and production environments supporting advanced mmWave communications, radar, sensing, and validation platforms.

A representative model in the series is the 955WF-30/387 W-band Low Noise Amplifier, operating over a 75 GHz to 110 GHz frequency range (W-band). The amplifier provides 30 dB nominal small-signal gain, maintaining 30 dB nominal gain across the band, while achieving a 3 dB typical noise figure over the full W-band. It delivers 10 dBm typical saturated output power, with approximately 9 dBm typical across the band, supporting robust signal levels in W-band receiver front ends and measurement systems.

As the first active stage in W-band receive chains, low noise amplifiers directly influence overall system noise figure and dynamic range. The 955WF-30/387 incorporates regulated biasing and a WR-10 waveguide interface for clean mechanical and RF integration. Reliable operation is ensured when the amplifier case temperature is maintained at or below +60 °C.
