Description

The Mi-Wave 970E-70.4/86.4/387 E-Band RF Receiver provides high-performance signal reception and frequency conversion for millimeter-wave communications, instrumentation, and research systems. It receives 70.4 to 86.4 GHz E-Band RF signals and converts them to a wide 3.2 to 19.2 GHz IF output, supporting applications where broad bandwidth, frequency stability, and signal integrity are essential.

The receiver uses an external 16.8 GHz local-oscillator input to provide precise and repeatable frequency translation across the operating range. This external LO architecture enables integration with laboratory-grade or system-level frequency sources and provides flexibility for synchronized research, instrumentation, and experimental communication platforms.

The 970E-70.4/86.4/387 provides moderate conversion gain with controlled linearity, enabling downstream IF amplification, digitization, analysis, and processing without an additional frequency-conversion stage. Its wide IF coverage supports broadband signal capture, multi-carrier analysis, high-data-rate communications, and advanced modulation formats.

A WR-12 waveguide RF input with a UG-387/U flange provides efficient, low-loss signal handling across the E-Band frequency range. A broadband 2.92 mm coaxial IF output supports connection to spectrum analyzers, microwave receivers, high-speed digitizers, and signal-processing equipment.

Operating from a DC power supply, the receiver is designed for controlled laboratory environments, research facilities, and advanced system-integration platforms requiring stable performance, repeatability, and mechanical reliability.
