E-Band RF Receiver

Model: 970E-60/90-12/10F | 60 GHz–90 GHz

Description

The Mi-Wave 970E-60/90-12/10F Broadband RF Receiver provides reliable millimeter-wave signal reception and frequency conversion for communications, radar, test, and measurement systems. It receives RF signals across 60 to 90 GHz and converts them to an IF output spanning DC to 12 GHz, making high-frequency signals easier to process, analyze, digitize, or route through conventional microwave equipment.

The receiver uses an external 10 to 15 GHz local-oscillator input and provides a typical conversion loss of 15 dB. Female SMA connectors are used for the LO input and IF output, while a WR-12 waveguide interface with a UG-387/U flange provides the millimeter-wave RF input.

The unit supports a listed typical RF input power of +5 dBm and a maximum RF input power of +12 dBm. Its typical input P1dB is listed as −5 dBm, while the typical noise figure is 15 dB.

The receiver is housed in an exceptionally compact 1 × 1 × 0.4-inch enclosure manufactured from 6061-T6 aluminum with a gold-plated finish. It operates from a +6 to +12 VDC supply and typically draws approximately 0.3 A.

Typical applications include V-Band and E-Band signal reception, millimeter-wave radar, satellite and terrestrial communications, spectrum monitoring, signal intelligence, laboratory testing, and research platforms requiring broadband conversion of 60–90 GHz signals to a manageable IF frequency.
