Q-Band  Receiver

970B-38.25/387S || 38.0 to 38.5 GHz

Description

The Mi-Wave 970B-38.25/387S Q-Band RF Receiver provides reliable, high-performance signal reception and frequency conversion for advanced communications, sensing, and instrumentation systems. Centered at 38.25 GHz, the receiver is designed for applications where spectral purity, image suppression, and frequency stability are critical.

Operating across an RF input frequency range of 38.0 to 38.5 GHz, the receiver converts incoming Q-Band signals to an IF output from 950 to 1450 MHz. This L-Band output enables straightforward integration with common demodulators, digitizers, signal processors, and other receiver equipment.

Its heterodyne receiver architecture provides stable and repeatable frequency translation with no frequency inversion, simplifying downstream signal processing and system integration.

The receiver provides high conversion gain with digitally controlled attenuation, allowing precise signal-level management across changing input conditions. With image rejection up to 80 dB and low signal-related and signal-independent spurious responses, the 970B-38.25/387S helps preserve receiver sensitivity and reduce unwanted interference in dense RF environments.

A WR-22 waveguide RF input supports connection to standard Q-Band antennas and front-end components, while an SMA IF output provides compatibility with common L-Band receiver chains. Stable internal frequency references help maintain reliable performance across the specified operating-temperature range.

Typical applications include satellite communication downlinks, radar receivers, telemetry and tracking systems, radio astronomy, atmospheric sensing, spectrum monitoring, and RF test and measurement. The 970B-38.25/387S provides a dependable receiver solution for systems requiring stable Q-Band signal acquisition and clean L-Band output.
