Mi-Wave’s 950 Series Amplitude Detectors are precision microwave and millimeter-wave detectors designed to convert incident RF energy into a proportional DC voltage for fast, accurate signal level measurement. Utilizing high-performance finline detector technology, the Series 950 provides excellent sensitivity, rapid response, and a wide dynamic range, making it ideal for both laboratory instrumentation and integrated RF systems.

Unlike conventional RF power sensors, the 950 Series delivers significantly faster measurement speeds while offering a broader dynamic range, allowing engineers to monitor rapidly changing RF signals with greater efficiency. The detectors also provide superior sensitivity for measuring low-level microwave and millimeter-wave signals, making them well suited for applications requiring precise amplitude monitoring and repeatable measurements.

Available across the full waveguide band, the Series 950 operates without requiring an external bias voltage, simplifying system integration while maintaining reliable passive operation. Its lightweight, compact design allows easy installation into automated test equipment, communication systems, radar platforms, and research instrumentation where space and performance are equally important.

The 950 Series Amplitude Detectors are commonly integrated with Mi-Wave mixers, amplifiers, frequency converters, filters, couplers, switches, and other microwave components to provide complete RF measurement and monitoring solutions for commercial, aerospace, defense, and scientific applications.

RF Amplitude Detectors

Ideally suited for rapid power measurements, these finline detectors are designed for a variety of instrumentation setups such as scalar analyzer applications. For low signal level measurement, the detectors provide significantly more sensitivity than that available from power sensors

Note:

1) Detectors are tested at -20 dBm power level and extrapolated to 1 mW power level.

2) Negative Polarity detectors are also available.

3) Detector will be in compression above -15dBm.
