Direct Reading Precision Electronic Attenuators (Series 515)

Mi-Wave’s 515 Series Direct-Reading Electronic Precision Attenuators are high-performance waveguide attenuators designed to provide accurate, repeatable signal control for microwave and millimeter-wave applications. Utilizing a precision resistive vane mounted within a circular waveguide section, these attenuators deliver smooth, calibrated attenuation through direct mechanical rotation.

Often referred to as precision rotary vane attenuators, the 515 Series combines the reliability of traditional direct-reading designs with modern electronic enhancements, including a rechargeable internal battery powered via USB-C. This enables portable operation and flexible deployment in laboratory, field, and calibration environments.

With an attenuation range of 0 to 60 dB, low insertion loss, and minimal phase distortion, the 515 Series is ideal for applications requiring high measurement accuracy and signal integrity. The anti-backlash drive mechanism ensures smooth, repeatable adjustments, while the direct-reading interface allows engineers to quickly set and verify attenuation levels without external measurement equipment.
