Millimeter Wave Radar

Millimeter wave radars (mmw radar) are used in many ways, both in the military and commercially. They are often preferred over microwave radars or infrared sensors because they have a better range and can often see through obstructions such as fog.

Millimeter wave radars are often broken up into two types: Pulsed Radars and CW radars. CW radars are preferred for short ranges, while the Pulse radars are more effective for long ranges.

Millimeter wave radars are utilized in the Doppler Radar. This mmw radar technology has been instrumental in allowing meteorologists to determine current weather  and predict future weather patterns.
